How to Check Math Division

Introduction to how to check math division:

In math division is the opposite process of multiplication and similar process of the subtraction. Divisions do divide the groups into the equal parts. The symbolic representation of the word division in math is as follows ‘/’ ,’) (‘ and ‘ `-:` ’. Division is used to divide the numbers. Through the division we get quotient and reminder.

How to Check Math Division:

How to check math division:

The following equation is used to check or confirm the result of division in math.

Dividend=(divisor*quotient)+ remainder

The above formula is used to prove or confirm the result is right. The division must obey the above formula. When the dividend value is less than the divisor it gives the result or answer in fractional form. Both constant and fractions are the result of division.

Example:

51 / 2

Here

Quotient =25

Reminder =1

Dividend =51

Divisor =2

Formula=> Dividend=divisor*quotient+ remainder

Substitute the above information in the formula, we get

51=2*25+1

=50 + 1

= 51

LHS equals to right hand side.

I have recently faced lot of problem while learning solving linear equations in two variables, But thank to online resources of math which helped me to learn myself easily on net.

Examples for How to Check Math Division:

Examples for how to check math division:

Problem 1:

Do the following process and check the answer.

845628 / 2

Solution:

Given

845628 / 2

Find the quotient and reminder:

The number 845628 is dividing by two (which number is end with 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 it must divide by 2)

The quotient of the division =422814

The reminder of the division=0

Check:

The formula is

Dividend=divisor*quotient+ remainder

Here

Dividend = 845628

Divisor =2

Quotient =422814

Reminder=0

Substitute the above information into the formula, we get

845628 = 2*422814 + 0

= 845628 + 0

= 845628

LHS equals to RHS.

Problem 2:

264 / 15 do the division process and check the answer.

Solution:

Given

264 / 15

Here

Quotient = 17

Reminder = 9

Dividend = 264

Divisor = 15

Formula:

Dividend=divisor*quotient+ remainder

Substitute the above formula into the formula we get

264=15*17 + 9

= 255 +9

= 264

LHS equal to RHS.
